Last weekend’s HorseFest held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri, once again offered a one-stop equine extravaganza for thousands of visitors.
From top-notch clinicians to educational sessions, there was something for everyone involved in the horse industry.
In addition to that visitors were able to visit over 300 booths at the trade show. From feed and equipment to western wear and tack, if it had to do with horses it was at HorseFest.
And if that wasn’t enough to keep folks entertained they were also treated to events such as the Ultimate Horsemen’s Challenge and Cowboy Mounted Shooting.
Sponsored by Farm Talk and the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, HorseFest clinicians Stacy Westfall and Kerry Kuhn offered a wide variety of equine education in daily clinics and round-pen presentations.
In addition to the headliners, a number of other presenters were on hand to offer their expertise on topics such as saddle fitting, animal health and nutrition.
Area breeders were also represented at this year’s HorseFest bringing some of their best stock and displaying it for the three-day event.
In the HorseFest GiveAway, Owen K. Garten from Fair Grove, Mo., won the Applegate Livestock Equipment 40-ft round pen. Lindsay Kahler of Morrisville, Mo., was the winner of the $1,000 shopping spree.
HorseFest isn’t just for adults though, Scott Townlian of Fordland, Mo., was the children’s drawing winner.
This year’s HorseFest Gold Sponsors included MFA and Applegate Livestock Equipment, PFI Western Store, Purina Mills, Race Brothers and Priefert.
