The Top Ten signs a 4-H family went around the bend with the kids’ fair projects:

Parson, Kansas — 10. They brought in Lady Gaga’s hairdresser to fit the steer.

 9. Their genetically-engineered watermelon had to be hauled in on a flatbed.

 8. The market pig has his own masseuse and cosmetologist.

 7. A Food Network chef was brought in as a brownie coach.

 6. There are rumors that their rooster is actually a clone of Foghorn Leghorn.

 5. One of their arts & crafts projects is insured for $20,000 and has a security guard standing by it.

 4. Maybe it’ll help, maybe it won’t but their barrel and poles horses have GPS-equipped saddles.

 3. Their wether not only came from out-of-state, he came from Iowa, then Texas then Iowa again.

 2. The Extension agent is checking the fair book to see if there’s a rule forbidding a tomato contestant from having an endorsement deal with Miracle-Gro.

 1. Their rocketry project had to be scratched because NASA wanted its guidance system back.
